About Me

Hi! I’m Charlotte. I’m a self-taught artist specialising in realistic oil paintings, particularly animals, wildlife and still life. 

I grew up in the Cotswolds and originally planned to become a vet, until one day I decided to draw a pig. I loved the process, and that drawing ended up changing the direction of my life.

I went on to pursue art professionally and have spent years developing my own approach to realism through plenty of practice, experimentation and mistakes along the way.

Now, alongside my own painting practice, I teach everything I’ve learned to other artists. My aim is to make realistic painting feel much simpler and more approachable, giving you the knowledge and confidence to develop your own work.
